We all know what it feels like to eat until we’re stuffed. It’s fine once in a while – think big Sunday lunch with the family and friends. We’re more likely to stuff ourselves according to external stimuli like the time of day or how much is left in the packet, rather than what our gut is telling us. Use this simple scale to rate your hunger, and eat only when you’re in the 3 to 4 range. At a 1 or 2, you don’t need to eat and by 5 or 6, you’re likely to overeat or make poor food choices because you’re so ravenous.
