You’ll be able to work out for longer and recover in less time than before. Plus: It’s good for you! A healthier heart means a healthier body. 4. It’ll Amp Up Your Cardiovascular Fitness

Cardiovascular fitness is basically how your body uses oxygen while you work out – so, the way your heart, lungs, muscles and blood all work together. As you get fitter, the more effective this entire system will be. In short, you get better at breathing – but there’s more to it than that. Not only does it speed you up while performing other forms of exercise such as running or cycling, it also means that you’re “keeping the engine clean” – in other words, lowering your blood pressure and your chances of diabetes, stroke and heart disease.

5. You’ll Score Major Body Toning

6. It’ll Improve Your Aerobic Endurance

Like your cardiovascular fitness, aerobic endurance deals with the same organs. By increasing your overall fitness, you’ll also be increasing your aerobic endurance. So, the fitter you get, the more you’ll be able to do: we’re talking longer runs, steeper hills – just pushing your body in general. Bonus: It’ll also take less time for your muscles to get over the pain that you put them through. Bye-bye day-after-leg-day feeling!
