Women’s Health, hydrated by Powerade with adidas, is looking for SA’s next celebrity trainer — a woman with a powerful fitspo story and the ability to inspire others to get off the couch and embrace an active, healthy lifestyle. The judges have narrowed the search to twelve inspirational women. Now it’s up to you to select the five finalists who will go into the running for the title of 2019 Women’s Health Next Fitness Star.

Meet Nomawothi Bafana
A sporty girl at heart, Nomawothi has done it all, from swimming to netball to soccer- she’s as active as they get. “Fitness has always been part of my life, however, when I started university, I needed to find new ways to stay fit,” she says. This led to her becoming a qualified group instructor and teaching numerous fitness classes. “My members have different goals, some want to lose weight, others want to relieve stress or gain muscle. This is why I make sure that I am able to teach as many disciplines as possible,” she says. Noma goes on to says that she lives to motivate people, “I want to help people overcome the fear of the gym or simply the fear of engaging in physical activity.” Noma herself has built confidence and faced fears through fitness, ” I have gained so much confidence and self-worth. Sharing that with other people especially women is a dream I live every day.”
