Comforting, aromatic and sweet. Enjoy!
Makes 1 bowl
What you need
For the oats
½ Cup rolled oats
1 tsp All spice
2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground ginger
1 Cup water (or nut milk)
For the pears
1 Pear, halved
2 Tbsp Raw honey
1 tsp All spice
2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Coconut oil
Method
1. Halve the pears and place them in a roasting dish. Sprinkle them with cinnamon and all spice until pears are covered. Spoon honey over the pears and add a tiny dab of coconut oil half. Roast the pears in an oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
2. Combine oats, spices and water (or nut milk) in a saucepan. Cook until creamy.
3. Once the pears are ready, place the cooked oats in a bowl and add the roasted pears on top. Then drench the oats with the ‘butterscotch’ sauce that’s left at the bottom of the roasting dish.
4. You can always add a few crushed nuts as a garnish. We suggest using pecans or walnuts as they will go well with the mix of spices.
