Who says you need fancy equipment to workout?
DIY your own home workout equipment and get amazing results with this simple routine from Next Fitness Star finalist Monika Human – all you need are a sturdy plank of wood and two equal-size platforms to support it.
Keep It Simple
We all love hitting the gym and playing around with the cool equipment, so when it comes to doing a home workout, it’s easy to think you need to invest in fancy machines for your home gym. How many times have you “called now” only discover that the machine in question takes up half your lounge, arrives in a flat box kit you have to assemble yourself or just ends up gathering dust in the garage within a month? Good news is that you don’t have to make it complicated. You can work out just as effectively using simple bits and bobs you already have lying around the house. Case in point: This workout created by Next Fitness Star finalist Monika Human. You can do this workout in your garden. All you need are a sturdy wooden plank and two low platforms of equal height to balance it on.
Do It
The other great thing about this workout? It works just like a circuit – only you don’t need to move physically from station to station, so you can tone your whole body even if your garden is barely big enough to fit a clothes horse. Do 20 reps of each exercise, moving continuously from one to the next. Once you’ve completed all moves, do another round. Boom! You’re done. That wasn’t so bad, was it?
